Post subject: | Question on installing OpenRPG |
So, I installed everything properly. I'm using a Windows XP OS and I installed the python updated installations which exceeded the requirements. After I started up OpenRPG the CMD popped up and after a few seconds it brings up a screen which asks me what kind of updates I would like. I'm not sure where to go from there exactly but, I skipped the updates by pressing the skip updates button on the bottom right. I then begin to see the starting screen for OpenRPG. Right afterwards, in the CMD it says that there was a logger started. Right after there is a list of things that went on in red and then right afterwards it says "Crash Report Created!!" "Printed out Crash-report.txt created in your system folder." I am completely lost. I'm not sure if this is common or not. I could really use some help. Really new to all of this. |

Not updating is fine. The updated version fixes a few little things but probably not what your problem is if you were worried about that. Now to see what is wrong with your OpenRPG can you post the contents of that "crash-report.txt" file? It should be found in the OpenRPG folder. It's a simple text file. |

Terribly sorry about the long wait for a response. Here is the crash report or what I have found in the file at least. Looks like our number one reported bug! The fix and the reasons for it are at the top of this page: http://www.rpgobjects.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=353 And yes indeed, it's likely your wxPython version is wrong. |
