Post Mac Installation Help
Hello everyone. Once again, I come to these boards asking for your ever-kind advice.

This week, I can't sem to successfully run Open on a Mac OS X Version 10.6.3 laptop (processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3). No matter what Python I use, whenever I try to open Open, I'm always stuck with the message 'can't use with 64 bit hardware' or something like it.

I know none of you will let me down.

I've never used 10.6 but I'll give it a stab.

You should be able to run python in 32 bit mode.

FInd application package, select command-i and then choose: Open in 32-bit mode.

This might do it.

Otherwise I would recommend going to the python site for help.

Having trouble on it also, Mac OSX 10.6.4

Had to switch python to 32-bit default (finder command-i did not show any such option)

After running start_client.py

Flashes through several screens then displays:

Error
no bitmap handler for type 13 defined

>> Details
Image file is not of type 13.
no bitmap handler for type 13 defined

The terminal is open and hanging, with the last line displaying...

wx._core.PyAssertionError: C++ assertion "Ok()" failed at ../src/mac/carbon/bitmap.cpp(1509) in GetWidth(): invalid bitmap

I found the command-i in a forum online but since i do not use 10.6 I had no way of testing it to see if it worked.
