I highly recommend it. I have what may be the final Alpha available for download and it has some really awesome features!!
This page will teach you a little about using the Update Manager and guide you through the process of getting the current Beta, but you can replace Beta with Alpha if you want:
http://www.knowledgearcana.com//content/view/200/127/One of the cool things about Traipse is, you can download the ZIP after installing it and run the software multiple times with very few problems. Just unzip it and it will create a folder called Traipse .. you can even rename it, run setup, and then run Traipse.pyw to run the software.
The newest alpha contains some the best features, no other OpenRPG version offers them. Newer images to make the GUI more appealing, a new Fetching image for image threading, and a new Failed image if the image fails to load.
Then there is EZ Tree. EZ Tree is a quick and easy way to create node references inside Lists, Grids, and Text nodes. I have the EZ Tree working without error in the current Alpha.
You can click the Traipse Movement link in my signature and read why people are using Traipse instead of Standard. It's just easier, more stable, and more advanced. And though I am the developer, that is not just me talking, that is a long list of users too.
