I watched an interesting show on the History Channel the other day (True Pirates of the Carribean) and felt it was time to do some fantasy rpging again with the theme of the show. So I'm looking for 3-4 interested roleplayers who'd like to play in a pirate/sea based Iron Kingdoms game. Adventures will certainly involve the high seas, but potentional for other adventures as well. The pcs will probably based in the port of Five Fingers, although, I only know a little about the actual port (having played in it previously a bit). http://privateerpress.com/iron-kingdoms Anyhow, if anyone is interested let me know here and post when you can play and maybe this will happen. |

Sounds very interesting. I'm always up for a good pirate/swashbuckler game. My only issues are 1) I don't know much about the "Iron Kingdoms" setting (Which can be remedied). and 2) My real life work schedule makes it impossible to play in a regular weekly game. If the game were to be run every other week (on my days off of course ![]() |

I was hoping to do a regular weekly game probably in the evenings or something, but no set day/time as I've only had interest from one person (yourself) so far. I can help you with the rules, it's a D&D 3.0 and 3.5 compatiable campaign/setting and its very well done (won a few awards even). |

Is there any free downloads for the Iron Kingdoms? I've just briefly looked over the site from your link. Just wondering if there was some kind of free starter book type of thing. Other than that I will keep an eye on this thread to see if there are more interested people out there that will sign up for this camp. |

I might be interested as well. I do have a couple issues that might make me hard to fit in: I'm in GMT+1. That said, I don't mind playing from 6pm est or something, as long as it isn't one day after the other, I don't mind more than 1 or 2 sessions a week though. I haven't played in a Iron Kingdoms setting before. I don't mind reading up on it, but just so you know, I'm not completely into it yet. I haven't really played alot in the past 7 years. That's of course just getting into it again. If the game ends up being doable for me, I'm very interested as well. |

Iron Kingdoms is basically a steampunk setting, but my game will be primarily on the conflict with the pirates/ship fairing and the various Kingdoms commerce etc. I'm not intending to use a lot of the steamjack "mecha" like robots and such. Certainly the guns though (and ship/fortification armaments). The Character Guide has all the necessary information for pc creation and such. Having access to the D&D 3.5 DMG and PHB will be beneficial, although, the D&D 3.5 SRD will get you most of what you need. Since I have potentially three players I'd like to see some characters and discuss a start time. Since most of you are new, I'm fine with starting in a week or two to give you time to digest some of the information and of course make pcs/ask questions etc. PC Creation Guidelines Races/Classes: http://privateerpress.com/iron-kingdoms Alignment: Any, yes, if you're evil you could have lots of enemies. Point Buy: 32 Starting Level: 3rd Starting Funds: per 3rd lvl 2,700 gp Books: IK Character Guide, IK Lock & Load, 3.5 DMG/PHB, limited options from Complete Series.
