This is a copy and past of my post from The Tangled Web. I am looking for one, possibly two more people to fill some slots in my campaign. We are currently in our fourth session right now. What is the setting for the game? Modern Day
How many Players are you looking for? 3-5
What's the gaming medium? OpenRPG, ShowDocuments for maps.
What is the characters' starting status? Level 1 Survivors
How much gold or other starting funds will the characters begin with? O.C.C. will dictate
Are there any particular character classes, professions, orders, etc. that you want... or do not want? Survivor O.C.C. only. Ability to learn other O.C.C. classes later in the campaign....if you live that far.
What races, subraces, species, etc. are allowed for your game? Human only.
By what method should Players generate their attributes/ability scores and Hit Points? Standard Palladium Character Generation rules.
Does your game use alignment? What are your restrictions, if so? Yes, none
Will you be doing all of the die rolling during the course of the game? No. All player rolls and checks are done by players. All NPC rolls are done by the GM. All random events/environment/crazy stuff rolls are done by GM or Players
Are there any homebrewed or optional/variant rules that your Players should know about? Bows do full damage.
Does your game involve a lot of hack & slash, puzzle solving, roleplaying, or a combination of the above? All of the above. You are attempting to survive the end of the world by zombies after all. You are going to need more then a big gun to survive it.
Are your Players restricted to particular rulebooks and supplements? All Dead Reign books along with all related Palladium books that use SDC damage are allowed.


This is the second Dead Reign campaign I am doing since it seemed to be widely successful the first time around I did it (its still on-going). This campaign will be using OpenRPG for dice rolls and character sheets. ShowDocument is a shared whiteboard web based program that allows me and you to doodle on a Google map to show where you are going or where you want to go and/or do.

The campaign will take place in a suburb of Detroit, MI at the beginning of the end, as the cliche goes, you will all be part of a group of friends who are taking their Sunday time off to get together for a game of tabletop RPG when The Wave hits.

Since chances are that the players who chose to join are most likely not from the Detroit metropolitan area that I will allow a memory roll (Intelligence check) to see if you remember certain locations within the area. The further out from general area you start at the less of a chance you will remember a specific location.

Example: Out of game - you find a big sporting goods store that is 40 miles away from where you start at using yellowpages.com. In game - "I know there is a big sporting goods store, but I have never been there" Memory check: d20+2 <= Intelligence (The +2 modifier is the difficulty based on certain mileage from your starting location). Pass: You remember the location and generally where it is at. Fail: You don't.

This will allow your characters to have information about stores and what not even though you yourselves have never actually lived in the Detroit area. This works a lot better with my current campaign since I GM it with my real life friends =).

Also if you have never played the Palladium rule set before I will be more then happy to teach you how to and the in's and out's of it.

How late are you playing til?

Its a good setup Lando. I was playing it but for the next few weeks can't.

We usually play until 1 or 2am EST.

I could possibly swing it for the time being, but I am seeking employment (been unemployed awhile now) so I might have to stop around midnight or so if I can finally get a day job again. I am currently working on my graduate degree with evening/online classes.

I do know Palladium very well and I have Dead Reign and played it before, so I'll see about crafting a pc perhaps over the weekend. You can send me anymore info at landothearchmagi at comcast.net (replace at with @).

I got your email and I'm pondering my character concept, going to look through my books and begin working on her tomorrow most likely. I will definitely email you back and get with you.
