So it looks like this game is starting to shape up. We have a captain and an engineer!

I'm thinking science officer/inventor.

As way of update we have a captain, science officer, and engineer. If we could dig up a medical officer and security officer we'd have a well rounded group.

I have to admit I'm not really familiar with CODA though I've borrowed the books from a friend, but I caught some ST marathons that have been running recently and it put me in the mood for a game.

I'm interested in medical officer, but I had a few questions. I really don't know anything about the early years of the Federation beyond its founding, so by Federation species do you mean the four founding races? Human, Vulcan, Andorian, and Tellarites? If others are allowed, could you name them? As an example, are species involved in the Interspecies Exchanges set up by the Vulcans acceptable? Also, are there any house rules in regard to character creation? Any options we should avoid or seriously consider? Just trying to get a handle on the boundaries.

I'll pm you with a more complete character concept once you get a chance to think about/answer the above. Thanks.

The founding species are good. Denobulans are also in. Any species in the era of Enterprise that is at peace with Starfleet/UFP is also good. I won't name them, but I will say that if you have something in mind we can always make up stats.

I don't have any house rules. You will need promotion and department head. Other than that I'm flexible.

Fair enough. One question: are Promotion and Department Head free advances or should I take them as edges with flaws to balance them out? My concept is coming together otherwise and I should have something for you later today.

Starfleet has plans to construct posts along the border of the Neutral Zone. The USS Magellan (NX-05) has been sent to survey and explorer the area of space closest to Earth and the border of the Romulan Star Empire to find suitable construction sites for these posts.In addition to military purposes the stellar cartography provided by the Magellan will be used to colonize that area of space.
