TokBox?
In an attempt to conquer the Video / Audio barrier I am looking at the TokBox platform. ToxBox is the software that runs in Meebo, if you have ever heard of that. What it allows users to do is sign in to their already available IM accounts and video conference and IM chat. I actually found that ToxBox is an independent software today, so I would like to hear some user input. Do users think this is the correct rout to take to break the Video / Audio barrier? TokBox: http://www.tokbox.comP.S. I just downloaded the Python SDK. It is really small. David you want to take a look at it also: http://code.google.com/p/tokboxapi/downloads/list

Re: TokBox?
It looks like it could be nice, the lack of any downloaded software could be handy. I'd try out the video part but alas my webcam is broken.

Re: TokBox?
I am Beta testing Moblin on my only laptop with a web cam and the OS is failing to detect the web cam, so I fail.
Any other user input?

Re: TokBox?
I am not sure adding voice and webcam support to OpenRPG is a particularly good idea. First there are plenty of packages out there that do this already including Skype and Yahoo, so people who want this, are already doing it. Second, because there are already other programs out there, this adds an unnecessary level of complexity to OpenRPG. Third, this distracts from improving OpenRPG in other areas. Besides that, it is much easier for me to picture the hot elven thief chic if I can't see or hear the 300 lbs bearded guy playing her.

Re: TokBox?
Yahoo! might succeed in the cam area, but Skype 100% fails as it will only allow one other participant.
Thanks for the input Carnifax. Other users have wanted the option to be there. If you don't want to see the hairy fatbeard playing the hot elf, turn your camera viewing off.
